This page explains how to request deletion of your SplitRace account and the data
associated with it. You can delete your account yourself in the app, or ask us to delete it for you.
Option 1 — Delete it in the app (instant)
Open the SplitRace app and sign in.
Go to Profile.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Confirm. Your account and associated data are removed from our active systems immediately.
Option 2 — Ask us by email
If you can’t access the app, email
privacy@splitrace.app from the address on your account and
ask us to delete it. We will verify the request and erase your account and associated data.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove from our active systems:
Your account and profile (email, name or club name, gender, country, city, avatar).
Your recorded runs and their GPS routes.
Your segment results, leaderboard positions, and tournament participation.
Your push-notification token and any pending notifications.
What is retained, and for how long
Precise GPS routes are kept only temporarily even while your account is active: a
run’s raw route is deleted automatically once your related tournaments have ended (and at least
7 days after the run).
Backups. Residual copies of deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for a
limited period before being overwritten on the normal backup-rotation schedule.
We may retain a minimal record where required to comply with legal obligations or to prevent abuse;
such records do not include your raw GPS tracks.
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. If you only want to stop location tracking,
you can instead revoke the location permission in your device settings without deleting your account.
